A downloadable tool for Windows

This super basic tool will allow you to preview custom Lethal Company suits made for the More Suits mod without having to load the game!

You can use Blender or another 3D editing software to directly paint on the model, but that requires you to know how to use said software. This tool requires you to click on 2 buttons and that's it! No need to learn anything!

How to use

- Download and extract the tool's .zip anywhere and run LethalPreview.exe
- Click on "Locate" to open the folder containing PlayerTexture.png and modify it with any tool you'd like. Remember to keep a clean backup of the file, it's handy!
- Click on "Reload" to reload the file and see the changes on the player model. This will not work if the file has been moved or renamed, it HAS to be named PlayerTexture.png and it HAS to be located in the LethalPreview_Data folder.
- Once you've successfully modified the texture, refer to the mod page to see the changes in-game!

Credits

- Lethal Company is available on Steam. Buy it, it's cheap and fun!
- Check out the mod More Suits.
- Tool made by MonAmiral.

Known issues

- The tool doesn't look exactly like the game, I'll try to get the post-process thingy to work.
- The badges on the chest are missing.

Since blender kept crashing on my PC, i was very happy to stumble upon this, thank you SO MUCH!!! It works well (i launched it on linux through Wine) and really helps to see where you’re going with your editing of the UV map! :D

Now i’ve got my own custom suit, yay!

Au.... The locate button is not working.... It does not open the texture on the model, even after hitting reload.

The locate button should just open the folder containing the texture, have you fully extracted the whole zip in a folder which doesn't require special authorizations?

how would you go about painting directly on the model with blender? do you have any resources i could use to figure it out

editing it manually is just so much damn work, figuring out what color is where and shit is exhausting

You're going to need to grab the model in FBX or blender form, which can be found on the LC modding discord: https://discord.gg/N33GxKG9

This video covers some of the painting process:

You will not have to do the unwrapping thing since the model is already unwrapped, and instead of creating a new texture you will need to open the existing one but otherwise, it's mostly about going in the Texture Paint tab and painting on the model!

Hello!
I can't find the FBX/Blender file since the Discord link isn't working and I can't find it on internet. Can you send me the file please? I would like to make a custom suit for a group of friends but doing it wiith Photoshop is pretty difficult :(
Anyway, thank you for making this quite useful program! Have a nice day/night!

Sorry for the delay! Here's a link which should work: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1182014174361030718/1182019592902693035/S...

Would it be possible for an option remove the lighting? It's really hard to check the skin at certain parts while editing when I can't see due to shadows

Yes, I'll try to make a version later this week with the option!

I've uploaded a new build which allows to rotate the lights, rather than disable them (I don't want to delve into how HDRP works at the moment)

Where would you get the player model if you want to use a 3D software for texturing?
